Rachel Hand Woodwind Teacher

I offer lessons to children and adults, whether you want to follow a syllabus and take ABRSM or Trinity grade exams or learn for pleasure and enjoyment. Whether you’re a complete beginner who has never learnt to read music, or you’ve played your instrument for some time, I would love to nurture your musical skill to new heights.

Due to the size and weight of the instruments I teach, lessons are available starting from the following ages: recorder from age 5, flute from age 8, alto saxophone from age 10.

Lessons in schools and elsewhere

I currently have good availability during school hours to teach out and about in Brighton and Hove. If your school or other organisation would like to host woodwind lessons, please get in touch.

Lessons in West Hove

I teach in my home garden studio in West Hove very near Aldrington railway station. My welcoming teaching space is pet-free and well-equipped for music-making. There is free parking right outside.

For home educating families I offer lessons during school hours on some days of the week.
